Jumeirah Music Centre (JMC) opened in Jumaira Plaza , Dubai in April 2004.  The centre was founded by Marian Nelson after she outgrew her residence with an increasing number of individual and group music classes. Marian began JMC with children in mind and crafted her own music and movement program to create a progressive curriculum to develop young musicians and prepare them later for individual music instruction.

Starting with two piano teachers and 30 students, Jumeirah Music Centre has grown to a team of 20 staff and over 400 students.  All teaching staff have been recruited with extensive teaching experience and all hold bachelor degrees in Music.

In addition to group music classes and instrumental lessons in the centre, JMC outsources music teachers to nursery schools in Dubai. In 2007 the centre has begun offering piano, guitar and drums lessons as part of extra curricular activities to schools such as Uptown Primary School, Greenfield Community School and recently to Raffles International School.  Due to the expansion JMC also utilizes the facilities at New Safa Nursery (beside Safa Park) and regular individual lessons are held there in the afternoons everyday.

Jumeirah Music Centre prides itself with a solid and dedicated team that work together towards promoting high standards of music education for children starting from a very early age.
